Special Message From Pastor Mike
Hello CVBC Family.
JOIN US ON SUNDAY!
Yamhill County has entered Phase II of reopening! This means that we are allowed to expand
our number of attendees in our service each Sunday from 25 to a maximum of about 150. (The
guidance for Phase II allows up to 250 people based on building occupancy adjusted for physical
distancing. Our sanctuary has an approved seating capacity of 300, so adjusting for families and
distancing, I think we will have room for our CVBC family to return.) Of course, you should
return only if you are comfortable with gathering and symptom free.
We will have disposable masks available to you if you need one.
If you are not ready yet to return, then don’t worry! We are still live-streaming our worship
services and you can join us online right here on our website. If you missed any of our past
services, they are available in our media library for you to view or to share with friends and
family. We plan to continue to offer live-stream options for Sunday morning, and covet your
prayers as we plan and prepare for each week.
RETURN TO SCHEDULE
We are meeting in person every Wednesday evening at 6:30 for our midweek Bible study and prayer
time. Please make plans to join us for this time of devotion, prayer, and encouragement. Our children and students are now meeting from 6:30 - 7:45 on Wednesday night as well.
Our Sunday morning Bible Study groups have started back, meeting at 9:30 am. There are classes for Adults, Children (babies-5th), and Students (6th-12th) available for your whole family.
Thank you for your support and for your understanding as we continue to make decisions that
not only affect us all, but also lead us into the future. We cherish our time of gathering and are
hopeful that very soon we will be able to continue to add more events to our calendar.
YOUR FAITHFUL GIVING MATTERS
One significant way that you can minister right now is to continue your financial giving. Your
faithful giving is essential to our ministry. WE have several ways that you can give.
1. You can give online through our website. It is very easy to use. If you need help setting
up your user account please email us and we can help.
2. You can give by mailing in a check to Chehalem Valley Baptist Church at 26155 NE Bell
Road, Newberg, OR 97132.
3. You can drop your check off in our mailbox under the covered porch, which is checked
daily.
4. You can give in person by placing your offering in the receptacle as you exit the
sanctuary.
