Our Pastor

Dr. Michael Crisp

Michael and his wife, Katy, moved to Newberg in 2019 to join the CVBC family. Michael is an alumnus of UT Martin (BA), Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv), and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (PhD), and has served the church in a variety of different roles. Michael and Katy have a passion for the lost and for serving the Lord in whatever capacity God calls them. Michael is a leader that loves the church and stands firmly in his convictions.  He  desires to equip people with the truth of the God's Word and guide them to think biblically.  He is known for his systematic (book-by-book) preaching, and his strong biblical teaching, as well as his affirming love for people.

He and Katy have four children, Sara Kate, Gryder, Ryland, and Silas. They enjoy adventures together and playing in the great outdoors. Michael values family life as a high priority and enjoys spending as much time as he can with his family.
